Prerequisite: 30 hours and at least a 2.50 GPA. Provides an overview of characteristics and identification criteria for individuals with disabilities and gifted. Legislation and process pertaining to special education will be addressed along with a focus on teaching individuals with diversity in the elementary, middle, and secondary educational setting. Cannot be substituted for SPE 310 core requirement in the Special Education major or minor. 2(2-0) F,S
