CFD 510 - Child Life Theory and Practice
Prerequisite: admission into the CFD major-Child Life Option; and CFD 354 or concurrent enrollment. This course will cover advanced topics related to the child life profession, including: stress and coping theory, psychological preparation for medical experiences, ethical issues related to healthcare delivery, non-pharmacological pain management, interdisciplinary team communication and advocacy, supervision of students, and child life program administration. May be taught concurrently with CFD 610.
