CFD 610 - Child Life Theory and Practice |
Prerequisite: admission into the CFD major-Child Life Option and completion of or concurrent enrollment in CFD 354 or admission into the Child Life Studies Graduate Program. This course will cover advanced topics related to the child life profession, including: stress and coping theory, psychological preparation for medical experiences, ethical issues related to healthcare delivery, non-pharmacological pain management, interdisciplinary team communication and advocacy, supervision of students, and child life program administration. May be taught concurrently with CFD 510. Cannot receive credit for both CFD 610 and CFD 510. 3(3-0) F,S
